CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that is universally adaptable to any fitness level. The system is based on constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity.
Constantly varied- The Workout Of the Day or W.O.D. changes every day. The body is required to constantly adapt, leading to the ability to accomplish any physical task you may be confronted with. We train for the unknowing and unknowable.
Functional movements– We train movements that require several muscles groups to perform. This leads to a full body workout. Movements that are seen in everyday life, e.g. picking up a heavy box off the floor and putting it on a shelf over head. We train in Bodyweight Calisthenics, Gymnastic Exercises, Olympic lifts, Plyometrics, and Metabolic conditioning.
High intensity– The definition of intensity is- great energy, strength, concentration, or vehemence, as of activity. We train for the purpose of exhibiting a great level of energy, strength and concentration of vehemence during the workout. Power equals work divided by time.
